Though the factory rear upper control arm frame brackets may never be a problem on a mildly lifted TJ that sees light trail use, big tires, a big lift, a big engine, and lots of hardcore trails will eventually cause the factory mounting brackets to rip right off the frame. We’ve seen this happen several times over the years, and the aftermath isn’t pretty.

Rusty’s HD Control Arm Brackets are designed to be direct replacement mounts at the frame end of the rear upper control arms. Constructed of 1/4″ thick steel that is CNC formed and laser keyed, the brackets provide maximum frame contact for the extra strength needed to survive years of abuse. Rusty’s brackets fit the 97-06 TJ/LJ; they work for custom applications as well. Sold in pairs.
