It has come to our attention that some customers with OEM painted hard-tops are experiencing issues with the nylon lifting strap. What is being reported is the nylon strap is leaving behind a residue or dye that is very difficult to remove. We are unclear as to why this is happening to a select few OEM painted hard-tops; however we are working hard to remedy the issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime we are advising if you have an OEM painted hard-top that you use some sort of middle barrier (painters tape or cleaning cloths) to prevent the nylon strap from coming into contact with your hard-top. If you do this it will prevent any paint damage to your colored top.
